Military Park is a 14 acre public park space, located on the western edge of downtown Indianapolis, adjacent to the IUPUI campus, Madam Walker Thetare and Eitlejorg Museum. The Indianapolis Sports Center, now closed, was also nestled into this area. The park was established in 1852. Today it serves as home to several events and festivals throughout the year. Among them, Rib America Fest was held here annually, featuring many concerts each day of the festival. IndyJazz Fest has also appeared here.
